Mark J. Elliott is an arts marketer with over 30 years experience as a practitioner in arts marketing, sales, PR, communications and strategic planning with experience in various arts organisations both in Australia and in the USA. Mark Elliott spent almost 15 very successful years in the US at Austin Lyric Opera in Texas as Director of Marketing and PR, and then as Vice President of Marketing and PR at Pacific Symphony in Southern California. Mark Elliott returned to Australia in 2008 and for the ten years that followed led the marketing program of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra through a period of massive growth, and several record-breaking seasons. At the heart of Mark’s approach are the tools needed for all arts organisations to be successful with their growth and retention of audiences.   He seeks best practice methods to help teams engage with and interpret data, develop smart creative, and implement thoughtful and empowering marketing plans. Mark is equally at home in the digital as well as traditional methods of marketing, and has experience working directly with arts organizationns in every state of Australia.
