Peter McCoy
During the 1997 Corporatisation of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as a subsidiary company of the ABC, Peter was responsible for the design and implementation of the Finance, Information Technology, Management Reporting and Payroll Systems. He was also involved in the development of the new corporate structure of the Company.
In 1998 Peter was appointed as a Business Manager of the newly formed Company with responsibility for the Business, Finance, Payroll, Human Resources and IT.
In 2003 Peter was appointed Company Secretary for Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Pty Ltd. In 2005 he moved to the position of Director Finance and Administration with extended responsibility for the administrative side of running the Company.
In 2006 Peter was responsible for the transferring the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Pty Ltd from a Commonwealth government subsidiary company to a separate legal entity.
In 2009 Peter left the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and worked for the Melbourne Theatre Company as the Director of Finance and Administration. During this period Peter was responsible for the financial management of the company as it opened its new theatre and completed and moved into its new management headquarters in Sturt Street, South Melbourne.
Peter holds Bachelor of Business in Accounting Degree from Monash University and sits on the Board of Lucy Guien Ltd.
